More news for C*4’s Season Six debut!

Championship shuffle and scramble! First time ever – for real this time!  And more!

We are two weeks away from C*4’s kick off to Season Six!  As Sept. 14th, quickly approaches, we have several big announcements to make right now concerning the event!

First off, a match that has never happened before – and was supposed to happen last March, but due to circumstances beyond anybody’s control couldn’t.

On one side of the ring, a man who managed to score a win over “The Last of a Dying Breed”, Eddie Kingston, at Crossing the Live 5 – and has bragged about it ever since… “MVP” Michael Von Payton.

Von Payton has promised C*4 management that season six was his year, and he’ll take on all opponents, and beat them all.

On that note, C*4 has signed the man he was supposed to face back in March, to collide with him… Franky the Mobster

C*4 management was notified earlier this week, that due to an injury suffered at Battlewar in Montreal over the weekend, Thomas Dubois could not compete on Friday Sept. 14th.  As a result, the tandem of Dubois & St. Jacques will no longer be challenging for the tag team Championship at “A Better Tomorrow”.

With this announcement, C*4 has decided to open the field to all challengers and Checkmate once again has agreed to defend their titles in a scramble match.

The challengers will include:

The Afterparty – Currently riding a wave of fan support, Cecil Nyx and Chaz Lovely are hoping to score the biggest win of their careers.  Can Nyx and Lovely pull it off?

Brent B. & Jae Rukin – a team that has collided with Checkmate several times already, and have narrowly been defeated each time.  Rukin and Brent can awe a crowd like few others, however they have just missed out each chance.  Can this time be the one?

The Incredible Hunks – A team which has appeared in C*4 since the very first season, however isn’t known for their time here.  Deeno & Cheeky are both looking to make an impact on Sept. 14th – and a win here, would take them from looking in, to looking down at all the teams below.

Can Checkmate hold on to their championship?  Or will one of their three challengers score a very important win?

Lastly for today, another match for “A Better Tomorrow”…

At “Crossing the Line 5”, self-proclaimed “World Inter-Gender Champion”, Twiggy was physically destroyed by Vanessa Kraven.  However, in the end, with the assistance from his lawyer, Twiggy managed to pin the amazon.

Later this summer, at Fighting Back 2, Kraven got a measure of revenge on Twiggy; however she didn’t have a chance at the title.

Twiggy has told C*4 management that on Sept. 14th, he will address Vanessa Kraven, and potentially facing her in the future.

However, Twiggy has stated that he has signed a contract to face a worthy opponent, and one he feels “will be just as challenging as Vanessa Kraven, if not more”.

Making her C*4 debut on Friday Sept. 14th, Xandra Bale challenges Twiggy.

While Twiggy might be welcoming the challenge of the smaller-than-Kraven, he should not underestimate Bale.

Having been turning heads on the Ontario indy scene for the last several years, Bale is looking to make an impact on Sept. 14th.  A win over Twiggy would certainly do just that.
