Tomorrow's sports will have a segment on the Ottawa 67's and the Asylum, a group of fans that have been sitting behind the visitors bench for many years and annoy the living shit out of them.  Be sure to catch this as I'm sure we'll get to see GDawg making an ass of himself, just in case you don't get enough of that when he's videoing C*4.   Grin

Just took a look and found it here: http://www.cbc.ca/video/watch/News/Canada/Ottawa/ID=2190601894
And yes, you can see a small glimpse of GDAWG getting patted on the chest by I believe one of the red coats (Event Staff members, ushers).
I used to do security at these games quite often and although the Asylum always behaved, we were told on occasion to keep our eye on them. Good group though, I never had any issues witth them.

Yeah, they didn't really show much of the group after all.

I gotta wonder if the 2 years they're going to play at Scotiabank is going to kill the Asylum...

If the ticket prices are the same (I don't know if they are), why would it kill them?

I know, while I was there for a few years as a season ticket holder, many of the others I knew didn't bother going to the games they played at Scotiabank.  I'm thinking there may be quite a few season ticket holders that will take a break for 2 years instead of going out there every game.

Add the fact that, when they did have games there (regular season against Melnyk's Majors), we weren't allowed to bring noisemakers or anything in (to preserve the relative silence you hear at Sens games), probably won't be able to secure the tickets behind the visitors bench every game, etc.  Take that away from them for a couple of years, how many will be back?

Let's not fogrget, that while it might be a bigger venue, prices will be higher too, parking (10$ instead of 5$) food and drinks etc.. All of this will geti mpacted, while it might be a place to play, the prices will be affected whether its wanted or not. I think 2 years in scotiabank are going to hurt the 67's big time.
