Ok.  Seems I have to post this here since RE doesn't have their own forum on their site...

First - Dean... you know I respect the hell out of you and your work both inside the ring and outside the ring to run RE, so I hope you don't take this as a personal shot at you.

I, as well as others, have mentioned it numerous times before in other forums, that it is absolutely unacceptable for the very first people in line, those who have waited in the neighbourhood of an hour, to be the first members of the public through the door... only to find that all of the front row seats have been taken up by people who were let in before the general public, or reserved for those further back in line.  Hell... there were even more front row seats for this show that any other RE show I've been to, to have hardly any available (I believe there were 2 that seemed to be not taken or reserved in some manner) was puzzling to me.

I know that RE gets a damn good walk-up crowd, so for me (or us) to expect the feelings of a dozen or so people to impact any decision on this matter might result in disappointment for us, but this is absolutely a slap in the face to those of us who are willing to get our tickets in advance, get to the venue early to get our choice of seats, to get to sit behind those who, for whatever reason, got in there before us, or those who show up AFTER us.

Don't get me wrong... I like RE shows.  I appreciate what RE is trying to accomplish with their shows.  But the reason why I (we) like getting there early is because being in the front row makes the show more enjoyable.  However, if this is the way things are going to be, I'm sorry but this is going to impact my attendance to future RE shows.

I myself have been to 2 or 3 RE shows and have to agree that the last couple shows weren't that enjoyable for me because either the front row is always taken in advance or the kids are standing up for most of the match making it hard for others to see.The best match tonight in my opinion had to have been the match between the 2 students. I'd also like to make 1 other point I know that in the past at certain shows I tend to swear a lot but their is no need for the announcer to point at me as he mentions that it's a family show and that anyone who swears will be asked to leave..

What can I say...I always loved RE...It was always my favourite fed (formerly as RWE). Dean is also one of my favourite wrestlers, always very friendly with me.

And I admit, I am a big mark, in the biggest way - I have always been a small guy - and always was a target for bullies - so to those who really understand the word "mark", can understand how a guy like me can mark out pretty easy. I don't mark out to a wrestlers technical ability, I mark out to his physical appearance, and the strength of his character, in other words - if those bullies were to pick on me again, I would love to have the ability to transform into guys like Kwan Chang or Damian Styles or Hannibal, and kick the crap out of these bullies!

So, as difficult as it is for Diehard to criticize RE, it's 10 times tougher for me. All I can say, is good thing I am such a mark that I'm not quite going so far as a boycott of RE, but I have to call a spade a spade and agree with Diehard's point of view about reserved seats.

It's true, me, Remi, Adam, Anthony, Uncle Steve, Diehard and the "Poo Poo" clan were the very first in line and first in the doors, yet not one ringside seat was available. I'm not pissed, just disappointed, ahhh, time for me to shut up, I hate sounding like a whiner.

OK, no hard feelings, here are some quick results:

Rage Entertainment and Big Time Pro Wrestling : New Beginnings
Rideau Carleton Entertainment Center
Ottawa, Ont., Jan. 30, 2010
Attendance - well over 200
Ring Announcers - Super Sam Dube, Mr. Hollywood
Referees - Alex Hetfield, Scotty Myers

(Graduated Students match) Cecil Nix vs Derek Hamilton ended in a draw.

Razz Monsour beat Jae Rukn by pinfall (with his feet on the ropes)

Crusher Kline squashed Aliah Bowers.

Frank The Beast Bradley beat Reggie Marley with a spear.

Roys Stevens beat Drake Styles with a kick to the groin followed by a chokeslam.

Koko Monsour beat The Real JJB with a roll-up (and pulling the tights)

Dave Titan beat Tray hugh Mongous by DQ when Thunder hit Titan with a briefcase.

Proff. Adib Monsour (wearing a mask) beat Maximus Primal when a wrestler wearing a similar mask and outfit interfered - this wrestler turned out to be Maximus' own brother - Drake Styles.

And congradulations to Joe Lockhart - did alot better at his debut than I expected! Wink

Did you guys try to tell Dean or Wayne about your issue face to face? I'm sure you had opportunity.

Why Phil? Are you of all people advocating that we did the wrong thing by posting on this board?

I think we were very polite and respectfull, we didn't bash ther show in any way, gave credit where it was due - many posts about other promoters were fans complaining about a small percentage of ringside seats taken up, which in many fans point of view is still unacceptable - we are talking about the ENTIRE front row seats being taken. Dean is the most experienced promoter in the region - for whatever reason behind his decision to have ALL the front row reserved, I am sure he knew that some fans were not going to be happy.
