For those of you who remember him, former Universal Wrestling Alliance Superstar Joe Doering recently accepted a WWE Developmental Deal.

Dave Dalton brought Joe Doering in to the local area for appearances in the old UWA days.

Recently Joe had been a mainstay for Scott D'Amore's BCW promotion as well as a big star in Japan. From what I was told by Scott D'Amore in October of last year, both TNA and WWE were offering Doering deals left and right, but he would turn them down wanting to stay in Japan and up his value. Apparently that worked.

Best of luck to Joe Doering! My guess is it won't be too long before you see that monster of a man on WWE tv!

Is he the one that took a nasty head-first shot into the top of the ring post at one UWA show, or was that Bolen?  I think it was Bolen vs. Doering, but I can't remember who got hurt.

Congrats to him ... I hope he makes it to the main roster.

Bolen took the nasty gash inducing head shot to the steel pole.

I just came across this online, so I thought I'd mention it in case anyone reads results or sees him on WWE TV at some point:

WWE has given Joe Doering a new name, "Drake Brewer"

Congrats to Doering. *thumbs up*

Man, Vince's naming convention sounds more like one of those paper triangle thingies we had as kids where you put your fingers in and move it three times one way, four times the other way and things were written on the paper so you get a random response...what is my point again?

Wait...better idea...Vince's naming convention sounds more like a bingo draw....I 47....Drake Brewer...Drake Brewer. Next...G 72, Mike Midcardorlower...Mike Midcardorlower.   Cheesy

...the name change happened months ago, once he started in FCW.
Secondly, he's hardly a "UWA star", as didn't he only wrestler for Dalton like twice?
