Despite WWE Brainwashing. C M Punk did not CREATE Straight Edge. It has been a movement for a long time. When I was a teenager I was one...short lived but I was one. I was a teenager before C M Punk was in the business. It is not gimmick rip off if He took  the pledge and it opened his eyes. It would be if he called it the straight Edge Society but if he just said, he realizes how much better it is to be straight edge, I have to agree with Rotchy here.

I remember back in my university days hanging with the straight edge crowd (local punk, CKCU etc). It still exists (not drinking, smoking etc) today. What will MVP call it, if it is his new gimmick/big announcement? DIY? Pure, Body and Mind?

Just throwing this out there...  MVP has never struck me as a big Minor Threat fan... that said, keep speculating away.
